database - Questions on Private MySQL Instances and WordPress -

hopefully job asking question...

my web host (webfaction) contacted me , said 1 of sites i'm hosting using many resources shared mysql pool. said should create private mysql instance on application server , run things there not impact other sites.

an understandably fair , reasonable request. i've gone ahead , created private instance database have one-click installer. can tell has no phpmyadmin, , i've never worked "private instance" db before have questions...

  1. being 95% wordpress user have have private instance db every wordpress site host, or can 1 handle needs of many?
  2. if later...how ()?
  3. i absolutely refuse ssh db make changes. i've never done before, don't know syntax, , scares hell out of me truthfully. there app/tool (i'm mac user) makes interacting private instance db simple , easy? i've been looking sequel pro i'm not sure.

again, hope way asked isn't confusing.

yes, can handle lots of wordpress instances single mysql server instance. mysql instance can contain lots of separate databases. you'll create separate database each wordpress instance. wordpress famous 5-minute install touches on this.

if don't have access phpmyadmin , can't use ssh, you're going need ...

  1. a client software package running on developer machine, mac.
  2. your hosting service's network administrator tweak firewall allow access mysql server outside internal network. may not want this. should ask.

there plenty of workable gui-based mysql clients mac. might both @ mysql , mariadb (a mysql fork) web sites client software.

but, might ask hosting provider how set phpmyadmin mysql instance. easiest thing.

c# - MSAA finds controls UI Automation doesn't -
